In 2024 Fenna van der Klei co-founded Luis Marie—marking an exciting shift from her solo work to a joint studio: in creative collaboration with Patricio Nusselder, they release bespoke and limited designs as well as innovative products.
Fenna van der Klei is a textile and product designer based in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Paying homage to the rich textile history of her homeland, she approaches textile design as an experimental exercise in craftsmanship and advanced technology.
With a love for colour and an exquisite eye for details, she challenges conventional production techniques, blurring the boundaries between art and design. Her works often break the mould of what is considered possible, they are refined and modern, and testify a desire for more tactility, softness and colour in our living environment.
